Splitline Privacy Policy
Splitline is designed to help you follow workout splits, track progress, and stay consistent. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how that information is handled, and the choices available to you.
1. Overview
Splitline is a workout split app for iPhone that helps you plan workouts, rotate your split, mark workouts as completed, and track streaks and milestones.
The app is built to keep core workout information on your device where possible. If ads are shown, advertising and privacy-related data may be handled by Google AdMob and its partners, subject to applicable consent and platform permissions.
2. Information We Collect
Information stored on your device
- Your workout split configuration and rotation order.
- Your completed workout history.
- Your streaks, milestones, and progress-related information.
- Basic app preferences, such as settings needed for the app to function properly.
Advertising and consent-related information
If ads are enabled in Splitline, the app may use Google AdMob and related privacy tools to request, manage, and respect consent choices. Depending on your region, consent status, device settings, and permissions, Google and its advertising partners may process certain data to deliver ads, limit ad frequency, measure performance, detect fraud, and support related ad operations.
Information you do not directly type into the app
Splitline does not require you to create an account to use its core workout tracking features. The app is not designed to collect highly sensitive health records or medical data.
3. How We Use Information
- To display your current and upcoming workout split.
- To remember completed workouts, skipped days, rest days, and streak progress.
- To show milestone and consistency features inside the app.
- To keep the app functioning reliably across launches and date changes.
- To support advertising, consent management, and privacy compliance where ads are used.
- To improve stability, safety, and overall app performance.
4. Ads, Tracking, and Consent
Splitline may display advertisements using Google AdMob. Before initializing ad services or requesting ads where required, the app may present a consent flow using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). On iOS, the app may also request permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework when needed for tracking-related purposes.
If you deny tracking permission, ads may still be shown, but they may be less personalized depending on applicable rules and available signals.
Apple requires apps to request App Tracking Transparency permission before tracking users or accessing the advertising identifier for tracking across apps and websites. Google’s iOS privacy guidance also recommends updating consent information at each app launch and presenting required privacy forms before loading ads.
During development and testing, AdMob test ads should be used instead of live ads to avoid invalid traffic. Google provides dedicated iOS test ad units for this purpose.
Note: The specific data processed for advertising can vary based on your device, location, permissions, consent choices, and Google’s own services and partner network configuration.
5. Data Sharing
Splitline’s core workout tracking data is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share it through device-level features outside the app.
If ads are enabled, data related to ad delivery, consent, measurement, fraud prevention, or compliance may be shared with Google AdMob and related service providers or partners as part of those services.
6. Data Retention
Your locally stored workout and streak information remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or remove the app from your device, subject to iOS system behavior and backups.
Data handled by third-party advertising or consent providers is governed by their own retention practices and policies.
7. Your Choices
- You can stop using the app at any time.
- You can delete the app from your device.
- You can reset or clear locally stored app data if the app provides that option.
- You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings.
- You can review or change certain ad/privacy choices through available consent prompts where applicable.
8. Children’s Privacy
Splitline is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.
9. Security
We aim to use reasonable measures appropriate to the app’s design to protect information handled by Splitline. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
10. Third-Party Services
Splitline may rely on third-party services such as Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, and Apple’s App Store infrastructure.
These third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies, and their handling of data is governed by their own documentation and agreements.
11. International Users
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding access, deletion, objection, restriction, or similar privacy choices under applicable law. If you plan to distribute Splitline in regions with specific legal requirements, this policy should be reviewed and updated as needed.
